The exception is personal items, plates and anything with your data on it — clear those out.
Have the paperwork ready. ICBC requires the seller to be the registered owner with the signed registration (APV250) and a completed Transfer/Tax Form (APV9T); the plates come off and stay with you, and you cancel or transfer the insurance at an Autoplan broker afterwards. A pickup that has to be rebooked because the registration is in an ex-partner's name or a deceased relative's name is the single most common delay we see in Surrey, and it is avoidable with one phone call to your broker before you book.
